Amanda Bynes has allegedly been evicted from her apartment in New York City.

The 'Easy A' actress, who was arrested at her building in Manhattan on May 23 and later charged with attempted evidence tampering, reckless endangerment and marijuana possession, was allegedly kicked out of the apartment block on Tuesday (28.05.13).

A source told InTouch Weekly magazine: ''At 9 p.m. on Tuesday, movers showed up and removed Amanda's belongings from her apartment.

''Even before her arrest, residents had constant complaints about the smell of marijuana coming from her apartment. She had also cursed out residents and the doormen, and the smell of pot from her apartment was really annoying people.''

The 27-year-old actress's neighbours recently complained that sharing their building with her was ''like living with Linda Blair in 'The Exorcist,' the 1973 horror film, claiming she often looked ''completely out of it'' and talked to herself.

One neighbour previously said: ''She stares you out in the elevator. Residents are terrified to be alone with her. She knocked on one woman's door, and when it opened, she screamed 'You're ugly,' and ran away. Amanda always seems to be alone, muttering to herself and looking completely out of it.''

Amanda's lawyer, Lee Hutton, has played down claims of her antics, insisting they have been exaggerated.

He explained: ''Amanda's fine. This has all been blown out of proportion.''

The actress moved out of her last apartment building in the city after being threatened with eviction in February because she reportedly violated its strict non-smoking rule.
