Amanda Bynes wants to be released from her psychiatric hold.

The troubled actress was recently placed under a 5150 hold after being arrested for starting a small fire outside a stranger's home in Thousand Oaks, California but she has filed papers asking for her confinement to be overturned.

According to TMZ, Amanda's lawyer filed a motion asking the judge to release her from the two week hold, which her parents Rick and Lynn obtained while they try and secure a conservatorship placing them in charge of Amanda's legal and personal affairs.

Amanda's parents have claimed their daughter is ''paranoid, delusional and is draining her bank account''.

According to court documents filed in order to obtain the conservatorship, they said Amanda is ''extremely paranoid about being watched and covers smoke alarms with towels and tapes windows shut to prevent cameras from shooting her''.

The documents added: ''Amanda has profound issues with her body image and is obsessed with the fact that she (and others) are ugly.''

Doctors suspect the 'Easy A' actress is schizophrenic.
