Amanda Seyfried is ''proud'' to be the new face of Givenchy's Very Irresistible fragrance.

The 'Les Miserables' actress has taken over the high-profile role from Liv Tyler and was thrilled to be given the opportunity to promote their best-selling perfume.

She explained: ''It's an honest collaboration. I'm proud to be a part of [the brands I'm involved in] because what they do is really cool, especially Givenchy - they're so artistic.

''And I feel like I have a foot in the fashion industry now.''

The 27-year-old blonde is set to appear in a two-fold ad campaign for the luxury brand, styled by creative director Riccardo Tisci, with a soon-to-be aired television commercial shot by Cédric Klapisch and print images by Glen Luchford.

However, Amanda - who is about to shoot new comedy 'A Million Ways To Die In The West' - is adamant she won't be churning out her own celebrity fragrances any time soon since she wants to be remembered for her film work.

She added to WWD: ''They're hard work, and the more you do, they take away from your work as an actor.

''I'm doing these two campaigns because I care about them and the people involved.''
