Actress Amber Heard refused to use safety wires while filming new movie DRIVE ANGRY 3D - to ensure her dangerous stunts look convincing.
Heard plays a coffee shop waitress, Piper, who teams up with Nicolas Cage to take on the leader of a satanic cult in the film.
The 24 year old admits she loved showing off her athletic abilities in action-packed scenes with Cage - and even completed stunts without a safety harness.
She says, "I jumped from an RV (recreational vehicle) full of satanic cultists on to the hood of a '69 Charger with its windshield shot out only to be pulled inside by Nicolas Cage as he was barrelling down the highway.
"It was up there. There were no wires. That was my job. I really took on Piper. She's someone I related to, so it was easy to let her get under my skin. Piper is not scared of anything, so why should I be?"
Now Heard admits she would love to sign up for more action parts, adding: "I loved it. I found a niche for myself and Piper has set the bar high for my next character. I would come home exhausted, bruised, cut, scraped with every muscle sore. But there was something quite nice about that."
