We'll be seeing a lot more of Charlie Sheen's long lost lesbian daughter.
Actress Amber Tamblyn has been announced to have been promoted to series regular on sitcom Two and a Half Men. Tamblyn appeared in five episodes in season 11 as Charlie Sheen's daughter Jenny but will move to a more permanent standing on the show.

Tamblyn's Jenny will be seen moving to LA to further her acting career and will slot into what's left of her family without Charlie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenny likes everything her father enjoyed, including women. Series co-creator Chuck Lorre said that the addition of a new regular character, and a lesbian at that, will be a welcome change of dynamic for the previously male-dominated CBS comedy.
Tamblyn Will Give Ashton Kutcher A Run For His Money.
Speaking to reporters at the Television Critics Association in July, Lorre explained that he had created a character who can stand toe-to-toe with the other stars of Two and a Half Men: "I think it would be great to have a voice on the show from a different perspective," he said. "The show has had enough testosterone to last a lifetime." Lorre added "Part of the fun in this has been creating a character that is equal to the task of stepping on the stage with Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher. That's a big job," he said.
"The idea of the character brings a healthy amount of decadence, which is always fun on Two and a Half Men."
Angus T. Jones Takes A Step Back From 'Men,' Goes To College.
Tamblyn's promotion will fill the void left by Angus T. Jones' move from a regular to a recurring character as the 19 year-old heads to college and will have less time to devote to acting. Having been a child star for some time, Jones has spent more time on a TV set than in school and wants to get some qualifications under his belt; a choice that Lorre fully supports: "It's really commendable that he wants to make that the next part of his life," he said.
Having most recently starred in CBS' Anatomy of Violence, Tamblyn's screen credits include Portlandia, House M.D., 127 Hours and Django Unchained.
