America Ferrera at the 2016 Summer TCA Tour - NBCUniversal Press Tour Day 1 held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel - California, United States - Tuesday 2nd August 2016
The official Twitter account of the Golden Globes confused America Ferrera with Gina Rodriguez on Thursday morning as the nominations were being announced.
Whoever was in charge of live-tweeting the nominations ceremony at the Golden Globes on Thursday morning (December 10th) made a spectacular gaffe, as two pictures featuring ‘Ugly Betty’ star America Ferrera, who was announcing the nominations, tagged the handle of Gina Rodriguez, who in turn was being nominated in recognition for her work on ‘Jane the Virgin’. Oops…
“The @goldenglobes noms are about to start! @HereIsGina @ChloeGMoretz @ImAngelaBassett #DennisQuad #GoldenGlobes,” the unfortunate caption read.

It’s good that the entertainment industry is finally talking about harassment an personal space because the situation is pretty bad. Take America Ferrera’s recent experience for example. The former Ugly Betty star was walking the red carpet at Saturday night’s How to Train Your Dragon 2 premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, when a man decided that it would be ever so funny to make a stage dive – under her dress.
Ferrera looked gorgeous at the Cannes premiere.
Despite how this sounds, the man in question was not a crazed fan, he was a professional – sort of. According to TV Guide, the man was Ukranian TV host Vitalii Sediuk. Security soon arrested the man, but he didn't go easily, clinging to Ferrera's ankles until security finally pried him off. Cate Blanchett was reportedly the first to rush to her fellow actress and make sure that 30-year-old Ferrera was alright. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Blanchett immediately tried to push Sediuk away from Ferrera and asked whether she was okay.

Nothing bad ever happens at Cannes, apart from gunshots, jewellery heists and weirdos diving under womens' dresses
Cannes is renown for its glamour and decorum; the world’s finest actors, directors, writers and producers – not to mention the money people putting millions behind the films on the slate – all walk down red carpets in opulent suits and lavish dresses.
But, wait. Something happened. America Ferrera was trying to be one of those people when Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukrainian prankster known for such stunts, dove beneath the dress of the Ugly Betty star. Needless to say, she was perturbed at the time. And needless to say, it has made headlines.

'Cesar Chavez' is the inspirational story of the celebrated American Mexican, labour leader and civil rights activist who devoted his life to improving the treatment of his fellow farm workers via attempting to rally 50,000 workers to stand up to the racial inequality and brutality at the hands of their employees.
Written by Keir Pearson (Hotel Rwanda) Chavez encapsulates the angst, horror and exploitation of the hard working farmers of America and the determination and bravery of Cesar Chavez who co-founded and lead the National Farm Workers Association during the non-violent, yet powerful, unprecedented actions committed by the farm workers in order to obtain the civil rights they deserved.
Chavez is a touching and moving biopic that represents the hope and aspiration of the working farmers in America during the .

Several of the world's most influential female stars were spotted arriving at the fourth annual Women in the World Summit at the David H. Koch Theater in New York. Among them were 'The Iron Lady' star Meryl Streep who waves at the paparazzi behind her during a conversation with a friend.
What's not to like? "Four celebrity teams clash in a fearsome and hilarious speed charades competition," it sounds amazing. Bobby Cannavale, Josh Charles, Sasha Cohen, Tom Colicchio, Billy Crudup, America Fererra, Eddie George, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Richard Kind, Padma Lakshmi, Zosia Mamet, Jesse L. Martin, Chris Rock, Sam Rockwell, Cynthia Rowley, Yul Vazquez, Daphne Rubin-Vega and David Zayas (phew!) were all in attendance.
A strong sense of camaraderie sets this edgy police thriller apart from the crowd. And it's also a change of direction for writer-director David Ayer, who has explored the dark side of police corruption in Training Day, Harsh Times and Street Kings. But this film focusses instead on two good-guy cops just trying to do their job and have happy private lives.
On the gritty streets of Los Angeles, officers Taylor and Zavala (Gyllenhaal and Pena) continually make important arrests, which really annoys their serious-minded colleague Van Hauser (Harbour) because they're usually joking around as well. But their captain (Grillo) is slowly starting to respect their work. Meanwhile, their loyal partnership in the streets spills over into their private lives, and they lend support to each other as Taylor falls in love with Janet (Kendrick) and Zavala's wife (Martinez) gives birth to their first child. On the other hand, a Mexican cartel boss has just put a price on their heads after they busted his operation.
Ayer shoots the film like a fly-on-the-wall doc, with hand-held cameras capturing each scene. Sometimes the shaky imagery is a bit distracting since it has nothing to do with the plot, but it encourages the cast to deliver offhanded, bristly performances that build our interest during the nicely meandering first half. Then things shift drastically as a major plot kicks into gear that involves what the cops call the three food groups: drugs, money and guns.

Amber Tamblyn's dress was the real star of the show as the American actress and poet tied the knot with comedian and actor David Cross at a wonderful looking ceremony at the weekend. There was no press photography there, but who needs them when you've got DJ and music producer Questlove around to go snap-happy for you. The 41 year-old couldn't seem to help himself and on his Instagram, among other photos, there are a couple of glorious pictures of Tamblyn looking resplendent in a bright yellow, non-traditional dress.
In a classy looking location - pictures show Tamblyn stepping out of a boat with a lake and a lush-looking wood behind it - the couple were wedded with others in attendance including recently married Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively (also snapped by the ever reliable Questlove), whilst E! Online reports that Tamblyn's other 'Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants' co-stars America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel were also there, as was Amy Poehler, who recently split from her husband Will Arnett. American rock band Yo La Tengo provided the music.
Questlove really got pretty close up to the bride and groom, with one very intimate shot showing the moment when the pair of them cut the cake. With a man like him around, the paparazzi should be looking over their shoulders.
Two loyal LA police officers Taylor and Zavala patrol the city's streets arresting drug dealers and gang members, protecting each other's backs and each other's families. The story is told through a series of amateur film footage apparently from police officers, criminals, civilians and surveillance cameras to provide a uniquely accurate depiction of the city's dangers and its cops.

2002's "Dogtownand Z-Boys" (now available in an excellentDVD) was an adrenaline-rush history of the Zephyr Skateboarding Team, adaredevil band of teenage surf bums who were the first to take wave-ridingmoves to the streets and empty swimming pools of drought-stricken SantaMonica in the early 1970s.
This handful of young turks (oneof whom became the director of that film andthe writer of this one) invented the board-gripping, back-scratching, wall-climbingstyle that launched the entire rebel culture of extreme sports -- but youwouldn't know it from "Lords of Dogtown," which concerns itselfmore with fabricated love triangles, unhappy home lives and rivalries thatformed when fame came calling.
While the performances of the young cast members -- keyZ-Boys are played by John Robinson from "Elephant,"Emile Hirsch from "TheGirl Next Door" and Victor Rasuk from "RaisingVictor Vargas" -- are multifaceted, they sometimes have the under-rehearsedfeel of a bawdier after-school special. Or maybe that's just the clumsyexpository dialogue: "Hey, I think we should start a skateboard team, man," says one shirtless, long-haired dude to another. "There'smoney in this!"

Found to inexplicably fit each of them despite very differentbody types, the pants become a touchstone as they're sent from friend tofriend, giving each girl confidence, good luck or comfort from unexpectedhardship just when such encouragement is most needed.
Adapted from the first in a series of popular books byAnn Brashares, the movie has a foundation of coming-of-age cliches, butbuilds upon it beautifully with three-dimensional characters and honestangst, consternation and joy.
Alexis Bledel ("Gilmore Girls") plays shy, beautiful, lanky Lena, whose vacation in a stereotypical Greek fishing village comescomplete with a hunky local (Michael Rady) who rides a Vespa. This is "Sisterhood's"least creative storyline (it even has a "Romeo and Juliet" bent),but Bledel digs for emotional truth and finds it.
