Sandi Thom Furious About Equipment Theft

  • 19 March 2011

Scottish singer Sandi Thom is fuming after a thief stole precious musical equipment from her manager's car earlier this week (begs14Mar11).
The star is now on the hunt for a new guitar pedal board, but is angry about the theft as the gadget held sentimental value to her.
She tells Britain's Daily Record, "My pedal board was sitting in my manager's car in Liverpool (England) and someone broke in and stole it. My manager had it in the car because he was about to courier it to me in time for my gig, but someone must have seen it and thought they'd take it.
"You put a pedal board together for different sounds and it's quite unique for each person. It was my first pedal board and there's quite a lot of sentimental value there too, which is maybe a geeky guitar thing... my name was on a lot of them, so the thief will know they are mine.
"The show will go on but I have to reconstruct it and start getting all of these things again. It's difficult to find them all and it will change my sound if I can't find the same set of pedals."
Thom is planning to pen a track about the incident, adding: "I'm going to write a song about the pedal board and I'm going to call it karma. And to whoever stole it, you're a loser."
