Earle's Son Lands Triple Americana Awards Nominations

Steve Earle's son JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE has been given a huge career boost after landing three Americana Music Association Awards nominations.
Earle joins Buddy Miller, Alejandro Escovedo, the Flatlanders and Australias Kasey Chambers among the multiple nominees for the eighth annual prizegiving in Nashville, Tennessee, which will take place in September (09).
The singer songwriter will compete for Artist of The Year, Album of The Year and New & Emerging Artist honours when the prizes are handed out at the Ryman Auditorium.
Earle will compete with Miller, who claimed five nominations, and Escovedo for Album and Artist of The Year titles.
Jason Isbell & The 40 Unit's eponymous release is the fourth nominee in the Best Album category and former The Mavericks frontman Raul Malo will fight with the trio for Best Artist honours.
Miller is also nominated as Instrumentalist of The Year, Duo/Group of The Year (Buddy & Julie Miller) and his Chalk duet with Patty Griffin is up for Song of The Year.
