Snow Patrol Benefit From New UK Chart Rules
Snow Patrol are back in the top 10 of the UK singles chart with a song that first charted in July (06) after new rules allowing downloads to be counted were introduced. The band's CHASING CARS is at number nine after chart bosses agreed all downloads can be counted. Previously, a CD of the song had to be available to buy for downloads to be eligible. Despite the change in rules, reality TV star Leona Lewis is enjoying her third week at number one with A MOMENT LIKE THIS. At number two is PROPER EDUCATION by ERIC PRYDZ VS FLOYD, while Take That's PATIENCE drops a place to number three. U2 are at number four with WINDOW IN THE SKIES and AKON FT EMINEM's SMACK THAT is at number five. Meanwhile, Take That remain at the top of the UK albums chart with BEAUTIFUL WORLD. Amy Winehouse is at number two with BACK TO BLACK, while Snow Patrol's EYES OPEN is at number three. Razorlight's eponymous sophomore album is at number four, while James Morrison is at number five with UNDISCOVERED.
