OUTKAST star ANDRE 3000 has hinted at the fact the duo are on the verge of splitting up because he's tired of hip-hop.

The MS JACKSON singer won't promote the group's new double album SPEAKERBOXXX/THE LOVE BELOW because he's too busy concentrating on acting lessons in Hollywood, while bandmate [Big Boi](https://www.contactmusic.com/big-boi) continues to work in Atlanta, Georgia.

Andre 3000, real name [Andre Benjamin](https://www.contactmusic.com/andre-benjamin), says, "I need some more ammunition, man. I need something to keep me going. My ideas are all across the board now - fashion, painting, everything. I want to put my creative energy into different things.

"Hip-hop is dead. The stuff I do comes out of the boredom of hip-hop being like it is.

"You're put on the world to do what you gotta do. You do your thing until you feel like your thing is done - then you move on."
