Anthony Andrews Overdoses On Water

British TV actor [Anthony Andrews](https://www.contactmusic.com/anthony-andrews) is recovering in hospital with a bizarre illness - he's suffering a salt imbalance from drinking "several litres" of water.

Anthony - who starred alongside [Jeremy Irons](https://www.contactmusic.com/jeremy-irons) in BRIDESHEAD REVISITED - is resting before resuming his role as HENRY HIGGINS in [My Fair Lady](https://www.contactmusic.com/my-fair-lady) in London's West End after his aqua overdose.

His agent PENNY WILSON explains, "It does affect you if you drink too much and perspire without replacing the water in your system.

"He's out of the clinic now and we expect him to be back in the show in the next few days.

"It seems to have been a combination of hot weather, the fact he was drinking so much water and perspiring as well as performing so often."
