The sound of New Order smashing Gary Numan in the face with a distortion unit is the hackneyed description that one could use here, or perhaps a simple description of this as genius electro rock with attitude. Either way the mightily prolific Alec Empire's latest effort is fresh, exciting and pushes genre boundaries in a deliciously clever fashion.

With the switch firmly locked to 'electro' setting this is still capable of lighting the fire of the mainstream guitar-foddered masses, purely through its groove and swagger.

A shining beacon in a wilderness of mediocrity. Buy and consume now.
