Single Review

The latest in a long line of bands bidding to become music legends from Manchester, The Courteeners have already caused a fuss in the national music press and their next tour already has a string of sold out dates. They've also recently been announced as support to The Charlatans for a homecoming gig organised by XFM.

Full of melodic energy and attitude, the Courteeners have a sound that mixes the likes of The Libertines with The Smiths, who are unsurprisingly listed as being an influence. Clocking in at under three minutes, it is a short and sweet anthem which student-types will pine over, but it lacks the sort of hook which is needed to bring attention from the masses.
