Morning Runner - Drawing Shapes - EP - Single Review

** Morning Runner Drawing Shapes - EP** Another indie band in on the act with this slow mix of rock and The Killers style vocals!

The guys that were formed in Reading have gone beyond their own abilities in order to produce something different.

Released on 23 rd May 2005, it has a quite 60s style sound on the backing track, and has similar guitar and pianos similar to those of Muse. I like the fact that the song slows down towards the break then gets faster and more dominant as the song progresses.

It is a very powerful song and has a unique style not so similar to the likes of The Strokes and Radiohead. The melody is sort of classical; however the third track is almost like a pop ballad with hints of rock. The vocals are strong and I can feel the emotion.

The guys are going to be supporting Coldplay on the 27 th and the 28 th June at Crystal Palace’s stadium! Also try and go see them at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium on 4 th July - no doubt this will be sold out!
