Spank Rock - Bangers And Cash Single Review

  • 28 October 2008

Single review of Bangers And Cash by Spank Rock & Benny Blanco.

Spank Rock (aka Naeem Juwan) has teamed up with Benny Blanco to produce 'Bangers And Cash'. It's certainly not for the faint hearted. Inspired by 2 Live Crew you'd expect profanity and filth personified. Mixed that with current underground soundsystem booming bass grooves and electro synths you've got a hard hitting musical onslaught that designed to slap you in your the face or your ass. Titles such as 'B-O-O-T-Y', 'Bitch!' and 'Loose' don't take a genius to tell you what' these guys are saying here. So if you find some sexual innuendo offensive you might not like this.

However if you want to get filthy you'll love it. There's enough attitude here to get totally swept away. I guess the genius lies in The Spank Rock's intense music that will sound great on dance floors no matter what they're saying. The creative use of urban influences and intense in your face street attitude captures the spirit of a certain hip hop time that will appeal to those wanting to get behind something. Sex sells and progressive music is innovative. Put them together and it can't be denied. Hmm.
