This single in undoubtedly laid-back – a Beach Boys sort of vibe – and it really grows on you after repeated listens. No matter how much you try to dislike it, ‘This Day’ is a sunny, largely acoustic affair with a few sparkles of electric guitar here and there. ‘Come to This’ is a bit less happy but no less decent. The only way to describe it would be as country rock, there’s definitely yearning in it in both the music and lyrics. This is a cool single, it won’t rock your world but it’s a great song for chilling out to.
