When an unexplained cataclysm destroys most of the developed world there are few survivors and the few who do remain have made a life for themselves relying on violence and cannibalism. A father decides he must move his young son to the coast of the barren land for a better chance of survival. The father tries to keep his humanity in a world where it seems there is no space for such ethics.
