The Guardians of Ga'Hoole are sworn to protect the innocent from trouble and vanquish evil. Soren is a young owl who's grown up listening to his father tell the stories of The Gaurdians. His dream is to one day join his heroes and be a part of that noble life he's learnt so much about.

His brother Kludd couldn't be more different, all he wants to do is hunt and earn the affections of his father. When Kludd's jealousy for his brother causes both young owls to fall from the safety of their tree leaving them to fall victim to the 'pure ones'. Soren decides the only way to conquer the pure ones is to go on a mission to recruit The Guardians of Ga'Hoole to help defeat the ever growing evil control the pure ones have over the own kingdoms.
