To find extraterrestrial life is possibly one of the most exciting prospects of space exploration, when NASA discover possible proof of alien life within our solar system they send out a probe to collect samples - on re-entry to earth the probe crash lands in central America and the alien samples are introduced into the earth's atmosphere.

Over the course of six years the military continue to battle with the creatures that find earth a more than satisfactory home, their solution to the increasingly alarming problem is to quarantine half of Mexico. This story follows an American photojournalist called Andrew who's trying to track down his bosses daughter, when he finds her the couple must trek through the quarantine zone, they risk their lives doing so but it's the only way to find their way back to civilisation.
