San Diego natives Louis XIV are set to release their major label debut The Best Little Secrets Are Kept on October 17 through Pineapple Recording Group/Atlantic Records, preceded by lead single 'Finding Out True Love Is Blind' on October 10. The follow-up to the band's recent MTV2-playlisted single 'God Killed The Queen', The Best Little Secrets Are Kept showcases a band whose rapier wit and gift for killer hooks ensure their place in the hierarchy of modern rock 'n' roll.

An electrifying live outfit, Louis XIV have seen their fan base in the US grow by leaps and bounds with constant gigging over the last two years, selling out their own headline tours and also supporting such like-minded artists as the Killers and Hot Hot Heat. The UK story really began to gather pace in June and July this year when the band visited these shores for a triumphant headline tour, a trip that also saw the band pull off a rip-roaring performance at T In The Park, which earned them the 'Best band of the festival' accolade from the listeners of Scottish radio station Beat 106.

Louis XIV will be bringing their mélange of raucous riffs and big bawdy beats back to the UK this autumn, appearing as special guests of The Rakes on the NME Freshers Tour. Louis XIV have already left quite an impression on both sides of the pond. Now, with the forthcoming release of The Best Little Secrets Are Kept, their renown is certain to ring out even louder.

Comprised of Jason Hill (vocalist/guitarist/bassist/pianist/producer), Brian Karscig (guitarist/vocalist/bassist/pianist), Mark Maigaard (drummer) and Jimmy Armbrust (bassist), Louis XIV first began operations as a three-piece (Jason/Brian/Mark) in April 2003. The band initially headed to Paris to record their self-released debut album, Louis XIV, where the sessions were loose and spontaneous, with the band nailing their target sonic goal – a lo-fi, high-energy maximum R&B inspired by such heroes as T-Rex and the Rolling Stones. Louis XIV, released on their own homegrown Pineapple Recording Group label, earned them critical praise and widespread radio airplay, from their native San Diego to the UK.

Louis XIV signed to Atlantic Records in August 2004, and the band's major label debut, The Best Little Secrets Are Kept was subsequently produced, engineered and mixed by frontman Jason Hill. The album brings together songs from their self-released album and EPs along with new material, all recorded in November and December 2004 at the band's own San Diego studio, built specifically for the recordings in a refurbished urban church.
