Following the acclaim of their limited 7" single- 'Mountains'/'Brown Boxes'- and their recently sold-out London shows, The Spinto Band are pleased to announce they've signed to home of Willy Mason- Radiate -for the world (excluding US, where they'll remain on Bar None) and will release their first proper single- 'Direct To Helmet'- on 6 March.

The band, who hail from Wilmington, Delaware caused a great deal of excitement last year stateside when they played a stunning show at CMJ, in New York City. This was followed by rapturous support at UK radio for their first single, from Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, Jo Whiley and playlists on XFM and BBC 6 Music, making them one of the most hotly tipped acts of this year.

The Spinto Band feature two vocalists, Thomas Hughes and Nick Krill, who write all songs. 'Direct To Helmet', features vocals from Thomas, is a whimsical number, reminiscent of 'White Album' Beatles, showcasing the breadth of the band's songwriting.

The band's last UK trip was a flying visit as two of them- brothers Thomas and Sam Hughes- had to return home to finish school. Free of all educational commitments, the six-piece now return to play a headline UK tour this month, taking their energetic and radiant show out on the road, giving guys and girls throughout the UK the opportunity to share in their world of surreal, quirky indie-pop:

The band will support the Artic Monkeys on there US tour in March, when they'll also play SXSW. Their debut album will be released in the summer.
