Childhood: Selena Gomez was born in Grand Prairie, Texas. Her parents are Amanda Teefey, a stage actress, and Ricardo Gomez but they divorced when she was 5 and she was then raised by her mother. Her first acting roles were on children's TV program 'Barney & Friends' and 'Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over'.

The first two months of the year have already seen major releases from Foo Fighters, The Pretty Reckless, Mogwai, Arlo Parks, Sleaford Mods and Nick Cave, to name but a few, and March has now added handsomely to that list with some great new releases. Selena Gomez is apparently hesitating and “unsure” about the timing of the release of her next studio album.
The 25 year old megastar hasn’t released an album since Revival back in October 2015, having retired in large part from the public eye in order to prevail in her battle against lupus, as well as undergoing a life-saving kidney transplant operation last summer.
“I don't know when the right moment is. And I really mean that, not in a way that I'm trying to be mysterious or cool,” she told Pop Sugar this week. “It's hard to have a voice and make sure that your content means something.”

Francia Raisa Reveals Selena Gomez "Could Have Died" After Kidney Transplant

A post-operation complication meant that emergency surgery was required to save Gomez's life.
Francia Raisa, who donated one of her kidneys to save Selena Gomez’s life, has revealed that her best friend “could have died” when a complication occurred after the transplant operation.
The 25 year former Disney star underwent the operation in the summer of 2017 after battling with the autoimmune condition lupus, a disease that attacks the body’s health tissues and organs and which left her in need of a new kidney.
Discussing her post-operation recovery in W magazine this week, 29 year old actress Raisa said: “I didn’t want to eat, I didn’t want to drink anything.”

Just a few months after they sensationally got back together, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are now said to be ‘on a break’ and spending time apart from each other – but they haven’t broken up.
Justin and Selena is one of the longest running on/off romances in pop culture, and the pair surprised everyone by getting back together back in November last year, soon after Gomez had split up with her then-boyfriend The Weeknd. Over the next few months, they splashed out on a number of lavish holidays and getaways together, travelling to Laguna Beach, Mexico, Seattle and Jamaica.
However, the young couple are now apparently on a break but are still on speaking terms, according to new reports from E! News, having been experiencing “issues” with their relationship being back in the public eye.

Selena Gomez has opened up about her battles with anxiety and depression, admitting that she doesn’t believe she’ll ever “overcome” them and that she’ll likely have to keep them at bay “for the rest of my life”.
The 25 year old actress and singer has had a pretty eventful last 12 months since returning to the public eye. She re-emerged at the start of 2017 following a social media blackout, disappeared again for what turned out to be a life-saving kidney transplant, split up with her boyfriend The Weeknd, only to get back together again with her ex, Justin Bieber.
The former Disney star sat down with Harper’s Bazaar to shoot the cover for the magazine’s March issue recently, and told the interviewer about her current priorities.
