He's not really running for Senate.

Not that many people thought he was serious anyway, Kid Rock has confirmed that he is absolutely not running for Senate and that it's all just a big publicity stunt. In fact, he can't believe that there were plenty of people who genuinely thought he wanted to become the next president.

Can you imagine Kid Rock in politics? Neither can he, apparently. He's just clarified that he was never serious about running for Senate in an interview with Howard Stern on SiriusXM yesterday (October 24th 2017). Of course, nobody would've taken him seriously if we didn't already have a celebrity figure as a president.

Kid Rock Delivers Politically Charged Tirade In Michigan Show

The rock star was performing in Grand Rapids, Michigan when he addressed white supremacists and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Controversial American star Kid Rock threw some more fuel into his supposed run for the Senate by launching into a wide-ranging political tirade during a concert in Michigan.

The 46 year old was performing in Grand Rapids on Wednesday night (September 6th) and paused the show to deliver a speech that eventually referenced his headline-grabbing statement two months ago that he was considering running for Senate against Democrat incumbent Debbie Stabenow – though he hasn’t officially entered the race yet.

According to TMZ, Kid Rock referenced the NFL star Colin Kaepernick, who has been refusing to stand for the national anthem as a protest against oppression of people of colour in America, and the Black Lives Matter movement in his tirade.

The Michigan star is hoping to embark on a career in politics.

We've seen celebrities turn successfully to politics before - not least the current US President - but who would have thought Kid Rock would be next on the list? Apparently, the rocker is trying to run for Senate, representing his home state of Michigan in 2018.
