Gaga Comes To Adele's Defence Over Fat Jibes

Lady GaGa has warned her fans she will not "condone anything" against Adele after a number of her Twitter.com followers posted nasty messages about the British soul sensation's fuller figure.
The Chasing Pavements singer was recently reported to have overtaken Gaga in worldwide music sales, officially selling one in every 10 records this year (11).
The news did not sit well with some members of Gaga's online following and they took to Twitter to take aim at Adele and bombard her with jibes about her weight.
One cruel message read: "Confirmed: Gaga will not be wearing her meat dress because she is afraid Adele will eat it."
The posts shocked Gaga, an anti-bullying campaigner, and she promptly distanced herself from the online taunts, chastising the few fans for their behaviour.
A representative for the Poker Face hitmaker stated, "Lady Gaga does not approve of bullying anyone for their physical appearance, it goes against everything she stands for. A tiny handful of fans may be letting her down."
And Gaga insists she is a massive fan of Adele and has wished the Brit the best as she recovers from surgery on her vocal cords.
She tells Bbc Radio 1, "I didn't speak to anyone in particular, but anyone who would say anything negative about Adele, I wouldn't support. I love her immensely. She's very sweet. We've exchanged emails about our mutual love.
"I wish her all the best for her recovery in her vocals, and I can't wait to hear her new music. She's an amazing success in the U.S. and in the U.K., and it's wonderful to see such strong women thriving in pop music. I wouldn't condone anything against Adele."
In September (11), Gaga called on U.S. lawmakers to outlaw bullying following the tragic suicides of a number of gay youths who had come under attack for their sexual orientation.
She tweeted, "Bullying must become illegal. It is a hate crime."
