The latest trailer for the upcoming Rock of Ages movie adaption gives us much more to contemplate as the June 15th release date draws ever closer. The upcoming musical comedy features hits from the likes of Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister and Whitesnake to name but a few.

For those unfamiliar with the stage musical, it follows the story of two lovelorn wannabe entertainers as they plan their way back to the top of the pops in 1987 Los Angeles. Sherrie Christian and Drew Boley are the two lovers who have to juggle their blossoming love life with their own ambitions to become stars and have to ask the question, is fame more important than true love?

The love story is of course a by-line for the real focus of the movie, that is the imminent closure of the legendary Bourbon Room and the return of one of its most famous sons; Stacee Jaxx. Only a show by the legendary and elusive Jaxx will bring back the glory days to the club as it faces a barrage of animosity from a group of Bible-bashing prudes opposed to the "sex, hateful music and sex" synonymous with the club.

Starring: Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Malin Akerman, Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta Jones, Russell Brand, Mary J Blige, Bryan Cranston, Paul Giamatti, Will Forte, Constantine Maroulis, Diego Boneta and Kevin Nash

Directed by: Adam Shankman
