Brian Schweitzer, 56, has one of the highest approval rates of governors in the nation at 60%. He chairs the Western Governors Association after formerly chairing the Democratic Governors Association. He also began the Yellow Ribbon Program which developed procedures for war veterans to undergo to make sure their mental and physical health was recorded following the suicide of Iraq veteran, Chris Dana in 2007
