Baby-faced folk rock singer who brought us the critically acclaimed 'Oh Fortune' album on City Slang in December, Dan Mangan has released a video for one of the tracks 'About As Helpful As You Can Be Without Being Any Help At All'.

The beautifully surreal video, directed by Stuart Gillies, features the 29-year-old Canadian surrounded by junk in the middle of some woodland along with some oddly dressed dancers in dark make-up wearing a lot of hairspray. It suits the piano and string instrumental well, in itself conjuring images of isolated journeying, while the distinctly deep and calm vocals of Dan Mangan draws everything together to create a blissfully catchy track that you won't mind sticking in your head.

Filmed exclusively for Ben Sherman and Clash, Dan Mangan has also participated in The Plectrum Sessions - a selection of different performances from the hottest bands of 2012 - which is also viewable from today, with Dan enlightening us as to the morbid meaning of another one of his songs 'Rows of Houses'.

Dan recently played a sell-out gig at London Bush Hall.
