Me & My Drummer - You're A Runner Music Video

German pop duo Me and My Drummer are to release their new single 'You're A Runner' on May 14th on Sinnbus.

The video depicts a series of bizarre notions mainly focusing a couple sharing a meal. The song is described by vocalist Charlotte Brandi as being about "Someone driven to the edge and an abyss. The singer embodies the voice in her head, 'the angel on her shoulder' so to speak". Charlotte's lingering vocals and poignant lyrics present a whirlwind of evocative themes that further express the song meaning as well as the continuous, peaceful drum beats courtesy of Matze Pröllochs. The single is a suitable comparison to current pop artists such as Florence + The Machine.

The duo met in Matze's hometown of Tübingen in Germany when they were both theatre musicians. The pair cite mutual influences such as Micachu and the Shapes, Beach House, The Roots, Ella Fitzgerald and M.I.A. Other more electro sounds have influenced their upcoming debut album 'The Hawk, The Beak, The Prey' set to be released in September.

'You're A Runner' has so far gained support from Amazing Radio and BBC 6 Music and is most likely set to receive so much more on the release.
