Jake Bugg returns with a second single 'Lightning Bolt' on Mercury records (U2, The Killers, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Bon Jovi) this summer on June 4th 2012.

The video for the track displays perfectly the pure normality of life that Jake transforms into a beautiful whirlwind of acoustic riffs and catchy lyrics that are sure to stick in your head. It is a modern sound with a classic feel; he makes you wonder why it hasn't been written before by one of the classic folk artists of the last 50 years.

Jake's poignant debut single 'Trouble Town' highlighted his life growing up as a teenager on a Nottingham estate while being into his own kind of music that was anything but mainstream; such as legends Bob Dylan and Glenn Campbell.

'Lightning Bolt' is a brilliant follow up and has already received massive support from Zane Lowe on Radio 1 and Fearne Cotton and Huw Stephens. 18-year-old Jake has previously been a supporting act for 'Blue Jeans' hitmaker Lana Del Rey and Example, and is currently on a May tour in support of Michael Kiwanuka. His last date is tonight (25th May 2012) at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire.
