Pharrell Williams: Conor Maynard The Future Of Pop
CM_UIN*E*R*D_673c07dab7d86673c07dab7dbf told Conor Maynard he is going to ''change the future of pop music.''
The 'Can't Say No' singer was honoured to work N*E*R*D producer Pharrell on his debut album, and couldn't believe how much he was behind him.
He told the Liverpool Daily Post newspaper: ''When he first called, he was trying to sign me.
''He'd been watching my progress on YouTube over the last few years and said that really believed In Me.''
Speaking of their time in the studio, he added: ''It was an incredible time and I can't believe I got to work with Pharrell on my first album. He said that he thinks I'm going to change the future of pop music. That was a big line from the Pharrell-meister.''
Conor's debut album, 'Contrast', is released next month, and was partly recorded in Pharrell's studio in Miami, where he admitted he was star-struck by some of the people he got to meet.
He added: ''I saw more famous people then that I have in my whole life. Ludacris was in the studio, Tyler, The Creator, Lil Wayne.''
Pharrell has been behind songs for artists such as ODB, Jay-Z, Madonna, Britney Spears and Beyonce.
'Contrast' is released on July 30, preceded by Conor's second single, 'Vegas Girl'.
