Ty Herndon says he only recently began coming to terms with his sexuality.
Ty Herndon, the country music star who's sold over 5 million records worldwide, has come out as gay. Herndon, 52, said he had struggled with his sexuality since childhood and is gradually coming to grips with his identity as a gay Christian man.
After many years of keeping his sexuality a secret, Herndon finally announced he was gay while speaking with People Magazine, saying "I'm an out, proud and happy gay man."
