New York based rapper Nicki Minaj performs her Platinum single 'Starships' at the 'Today Show' in New York in a skin-tight, red one-piece outfit with thigh-length red boots and a troupe of similarly dressed female dancers as well as topless male dancers in metallic pants. She totes a pink microphone matching her trademark lips and holds it to the crowd for the chorus who promptly sing it back to her. Towards the end of her song she remarks that, 'This is my hometown'.

Minaj really knows how to work her crowd, however it looks like these energetic performances are having a detrimental effect on her health. She Tweeted last night, 'And barbz its official, my voice is GONE!!!! I swear it held up just to spk to u guys last nite! Mind over matter. The mind is so powerful.'
