Kim Kardashian and Kanye West kicked off Halloween in style early this year, with the pair hitting New York in fancy dress for the Kim-hosted 2nd Annual Midori Green Halloween at Avenue on Saturday (Oct 27).

Whilst Kanye could really have tried harder, Kim pulled out all the stops for her outfit as she dressed as a mermaid for the night, complete with a blonde wig that is believed to have cost up to $2,000! Needless to say, Kim commanded most of the attention throughout the night.

The couple partied the night away with a couple of Kim’s friends, La La Anthony, Simon Huck, Carla DiBello and Joyce Bonelli, however sources from the party have said that it didn’t stop rapper Kanye from spending a few quiet moments with Kardashian away form the crowd. One source, speaking to People, said that the pair were lively throughout the night – “posing for pictures, dancing, ordering bottles of Midori”- however the couple did make room for some alone time. The People confidant said: "They kissed a few times and he was rubbing her back. At one point, she whispered something in his ear and his face lit up."

We’re guessing Kim enjoyed her time as a mermaid anyway, with the reality star taking to Twitter the next day, posting: "Fun times last night @kanyewest @joycebonelli @carladibello @simonhuck."
