Lindsay Lohan And Other Celebs Have Their Say On Hurricane Sandy

  • 30 October 2012

Safe from Hurricane Sandy in their ivory towers, snuggled in their million tog quilts whilst they see what other people are saying about them, the celebs are have their say on Frankenstorm.

"WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i'm calling it Sally)..? Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace," Lindsay Lohan posted on her Twitter page, possibly forgetting that 'Sally' has actually claimed human lives, and has the potential to take more. "9 months from now hopefully we will have some cool Hurricane Sandy babies! On the west coast we never get to bond over weather panic. We're like oh no an earthquake for 2 seconds, then go to spin class or whatever," said actress Mindy Kaling, who has presumably watched a few disaster movies, and decided that everyone, when faced with the possibility of death or loss of a loved one, fornicates. No Mindy. Kim Kardashian, not known for her immediate sense of empathy, sent a far more sensible tweet, which read "Back in Miami now. Missed the storm. I'm praying for everyone on the East Coast. I hope everyone is safe!" and on a similar vein, Melissa Joan Hart wrote "I have at least 2 family members in evacuation zones that haven't left and 2 more in the center of Sandy. Praying they stay safe!"

Jerry Seinfeld, who basically made a living out of noticing things, noticed the New York City mayor's attire. "Mayor Bloomberg going with zip up neck sweater to fight Sandy. Shows preparedness. Windy: zip it up Storm over: back up." Presumably he meant, "back down"? Anyway, our thoughts here at Contact Music go out to anyone affected by the storm. Good luck.
