Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 Premiere: Three Words, Michael Sheen’s Moustache
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reunited at the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere in Los Angeles on Monday evening (November 12, 2012), with co-stars Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed and Kellan Lutz also on-hand to settle the gathered crowds (or was that send them into a frenzy?).
Nice! Michael Sheen Showing Superb Moustache-Growing Ability Anyway, we here at Contactmusic.com thought there was one thing on display last night that deserved more press than it’s getting. Welsh star Michael Sheen – who plays Aro in the new movie – turned up sporting an imaginative piece of facial hair, a hipster moustache by all accounts. ‘The Queen’ star has never been one to shy away from a rugged beard, though his latest creation is easily his most radical. Lucky for us, he’s been discussing it with the Huffington Post, joking that his moustache is probably ranking below Star Wars 7 but above Hurricane Sandy in the most popular news of the moment. Sheen said, “I even waxed the ends of it. So I really gave it that little extra today. So we assume the facial hair is for an upcoming movie role? No so says the actor! “That's the thing: people always assume that when an actor is sporting a very sort of non-traditional look, that, it's for a role. Which I can sort of use as an excuse to look however I want to look… People have gotten used to the full beard look - the sort of Grizzly Adams look. I'm glad that my moustache can still turn heads and cause mutters. I like that.” Sheen also revealed that the level of his facial hair dramatically changes the type of fans that notice him, “If I've got a beard at the time, then it might be "Underworld" or "Unthinkable" or something like that. But, if I'm clean shaven, then it's usually going to be Tony Blair or "Frost/Nixon" or something like that. And if they're under the age of 14, then it might be "Twilight.”
Sheen recently wrapped up filming on the forthcoming comedy Admission, with Paul Rudd and Tina Fey. Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits cinemas on November 16, 2012.
