Popstars Carly Rae Jepsen, Cher Lloyd and Katy Perry were among arrivals at the 2012 Billboard Women in Music event in New York City. Also on the red carpet were Billboard magazine Editorial Director Bill Werde, Katy Perry's mother and father Mary and Keith Hudson, 'Today' show anchors Hoda Kotb and Natalie Morales, country singer Hunter Hayes and R&B star Ciara.

Ms Perry was honoured at the event as 'Woman of the Year' to her surprise; she revealed to talk show host Jon Stewart: 'I felt like my year was last year'.
