The 'Black Panther' star opens up about the funding for his prestigious education.
He's become a phenomenon with the recent release of Marvel's 'Black Panther' movie, but Chadwick Boseman has had the training to ensure that he would succeed in his career from the very beginning. Apparently, some of that training was funded by fellow Hollywood star Denzel Washington.
The 40-year-old opened up about how his hero paid for him to attend a prestigious summer exchange program at Oxford University in the UK, after one of his acting teachers - Phylicia Rashad - encouraged some of her pals to fund her acting class at Howard University in Washington, DC.

The Marvel Universe expands further in 2018 with an exciting new batch of movies and characters.
2018 is shaping up to be a great year for comic book movies with Marvel once again leading the charge. The Avengers will be back, as will the foul-mouthed Deadpool, but there’s also a few new characters getting their first big screen outing. To wet your appetite for the year ahead, here’s everything Marvel has in store for us in 2018.
1. He has considered giving up acting for directing - He might be best known for his acting, having never directed anything major, but he initially wanted to be a filmmaker and only studied acting for the sake of being able to relate to actors. In fact, after a few small roles, he thought about directing full time - that was until he was offered the role of Jackie Robinson in 2013's '42' while he was in the middle of directing his off-Broadway play in 'East Village'.

Chadwick Boseman Teases "Advanced Nation" Of Wakanda In 'Black Panther'

The actor says it was important to ensure Wakanda was different to anything we've seen in the real world.
One of the upcoming entries to the Marvel Cinematic Universe that people are most looking forward to is the Chadwick Boseman-led flick, 'Black Panther'. Taking on the titular role in the film, otherwise known as T'Challa, Boseman will become the first person of colour to lead a solo movie within the superhero genre; something that's been a long time coming.
With that comes a lot of lofty expectations and responsibility for Boseman. Fortunately, he's somebody who has thought about how everything he and the team around the movie brings to the big screen and how it will be interpreted, and that's what he's been speaking about in a recent interview.
