Actor Tim Curry Rushed To Hospital After Suffering Stroke

The actor Tim Curry was rushed to hospital earlier this week after suffering a stroke at his home in Los Angeles. The veteran star of stage and screen was feared to have suffered irreparable damage following his health scare, but is expected to make a full recovery and is in otherwise good health.

67-year-old, who is perhaps best known for his role as Dr Frank-N-Furterin in the cult hit The Rocky Horror Picture Show, was rumoured to have lost his use of speech, however the rumours were soon dispelled by his agent Marcia Hurtwitz, who spoke to the Daily Mail to play down any worries about the actor's wellbeing."Tim is doing great," Hurtwitz said. "He absolutely can speak and is recovering at this time and in great humour."

The unmarried actor is currently recovering in his Hollywood Hills home, where he lives alone. He was at his home when he suffered the attack, being escorted to hospital and returned home hastily afterwards. Although we are still waiting on any follow-up information on Curry's health, it is believed that the actor will make a full recovery.

Curry has graced stages and screens for nearly half a century now, constantly seeking even in his advancing years. In March 2011, he suffered his first major health scare and was forced to drop out of the Trevor Nunn production of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead at the Chichester Festival Theatre, before moving on to London, beween May and August. The Tony/Golden Globe/Emmy-nominated actor was then forced to drop out of the production at the last minute on May 27, citing ill health following a chest infection.
