Nicola Formichetti Wants To Dress 'freak' Miley Cyrus
Nicola Formichetti would love to style Miley Cyrus.
Diesel's new artistic director - who is best known for creating the meat dress Lady GaGa wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards - has joked he only wants to work with ''freaks'', and wild child Miley is top of his list.
He told Grazia Daily: ''I love Miley Cyrus, I think she's so cool, she's so like, 'I don't give a f**k'. I think she's a beautiful girl doing her thing and good on her. I'd love to work with her.
''Maybe I'm just targeting difficult ladies. All the freaks! I just love working with freaks and individuals.''
The former Mugler maven stepped down as Gaga's stylist after five years in August, claiming the eccentric star's extravagant wardrobe demands were becoming too time-consuming.
Nicola is confident his old assistant Brandon Maxwell can take over the ''insane'' job of coping with Gaga's hourly wardrobe changes.
He said: ''[Brandon] is doing an amazing job. He's evolved from what I was doing - I had a couple of years with her and it was like a rollercoaster. But she's transformed now and good luck to her, she's amazing. She's one of a kind.''
Nicola has no interest in dressing A-list actresses for red carpet events as their wardrobe choices are too predictable and boring, so he wants his next collaboration to be with a girl with ''attitude''.
He mused: ''I don't think I'm a good wardrobe stylist. I just love collaborations. That's why I can't work with actresses because actresses don't want to take risks.
''They want to be normal and I love doing something different. Gaga was different because every day was a theatre and changing all the time. I just love girls with attitude.''
