Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus and One Direction are among Forbes magazine's 30 Under 30 musicians this year.

The financial bible has issued its annual list of influential young people in a variety of categories, and the trio are among those who gained places on the music list.

Bruno, 28, was singled out by the publication as its featured artist, and went on to state he had earned his place for a variety of reasons including 18 Grammy nominations and his forthcoming Super Bowl half-time show, which will make him the first musician under 30 to headline the prestigious event.

The music category - which is chosen by an expert judging panel of Live Nation chief Michael Rapino, manager and former Def Jam president Kevin Liles, and singer/songwriter John Oates - comprises 20 artists and non-performers from across the world, and includes American pop stars Miley, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga, Bajan beauty Rihanna, 17-year-old New Zealand songstress Lorde, Canadians Drake and Justin Bieber, and DJs Avicii, Calvin Harris and Zedd, who hail from Sweden, Scotland and Russia respectively.

Other famous names on the music list include Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Janelle Monae and Wiz Khalifa.

Meanwhile, the Hollywood list featured starlets including Olivia Wilde, Anna Kendrick and Jennifer Lawrence, writer-and-actresses Rebel Wilson and Lena Dunham, '21 Jump Street' star Dave Franco - whose brother is 'Spring Breakers' actor James Franco - 'Fashion Police' host Kelly Osbourne, 'Orange is the New Black' star Taylor Schilling and 10-year-old actress Quvenzhané Wallis.
