It used to be Weekly Music Highlights, but now coronavirus has ruined it all.

We are looking at a music industry in crisis as the fear surrounding the coronavirus hits the live circuit and beyond. Releases are being put back, gigs postponed, major events cancelled and a new trend of live show streaming has begun as more and more of us make the choice to self-isolate.

Musicians are not only cancelling their tours this year, they're also taking steps to self-quarantine as the virus continues to spread. Charli XCX has expressed her frustration over the isolation, while Blink 182's Mark Hoppus has revealed that his family's "no-one in, no-one out" policy has already incited cabin fever on the first day.

Coachella 2019 LINE-UP REVEALED

The line-up for the 2019 edition of Coachella Festival has been revealed, with the headliners named as Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande.

Coachella is held annually in the grounds of the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on consecutive weekends in mid-April. In 2019, it’s set to take place on the weekends of April 12th-14th and April 19th-21st, with the three days of acts identical over each weekend.

The full 2019 line-up for Coachella Festival was revealed this week.

The line-up for the 2019 edition of Coachella Festival has been revealed, with the headliners named as Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande.

Famed for its glitz, glamour, sunshine and A-list celebrity attendees, Coachella is held annually in the grounds of the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on consecutive weekends in mid-April. In 2019, it’s set to take place on the weekends of April 12th-14th and April 19th-21st, with the three days of acts identical over each weekend.

On the two Friday nights, joining Childish Gambino – the stage name of actor and musician Donald Glover – will be big-name producer Diplo, rapper Anderson .Paak and English indie-pop act The 1975.

Truly a festival show like no other.

Anyone who was at Coachella this weekend may have experienced one of the greatest shows of their life as headliner Beyonce brought in some very special guests, reforming early 00s act Destiny's Child along the way. As the first black woman to headline the festival, she was sure to make it count.

She totally made up for having to miss last year's slot due to being pregnant with her twins, explaining that she used the time wisely to 'dream up' this memorable 2 hour, 26-song show. It also marks her first performance since the birth of Rumi and Sir Carter.

They will be headlining the forthcoming festival along with The Weeknd.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2018 is just weeks away and with this New Year comes a spectacular new line-up. Festival organisers have now confirmed the three weekend headliners as The Weeknd, Beyonce and Eminem respectively, and tickets are on sale later this week.

Eminem will be taking over the much coveted spot of Sunday headliner at Coachella this year, treating his audience to a few numbers from his latest album 'Revival'. With Beyonce preceding him on the Saturday, there's a good chance we might see their first live collaboration of their song 'Walk on Water' from the rapper's new record.

Beyonce was due to headline the festival last year, but pulled out due to her pregnancy.

Eminem is rumoured to be headlining next year’s Coachella Festival, alongside Beyonce and The Weeknd.

The annual festival, which is held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California will take place over the weekends of April 13-15 and April 20-22 next year.

Coachella Refused The Chance To Have Kate Bush Perform At The Festival

Organisers claimed the audience wouldn't understand the British star

As iconic as Kate Bush is, it seems American festival Coachella refused the opportunity for the songstress to perform at the event, claiming festival goers "wouldn’t understand her". The British songwriter, singer and music producer had just come out of a live performing hiatus but even that couldn’t convince music organisers to grab her up.

Despite the fact, Bush is so revered and numerous artists have cited her as an influence on their work, the New Yorker reported that Marc Geiger, head of music at the William Morris Endeavour Agency, said the Coachella CEO refused to have any of it.

The Weeknd closed Saturday night’s festivities, following Jack White’s headlining set.

Kanye West made a surprise appearance during The Weeknd’s Saturday night set at Coachella, helping singer Abel Tesfaye cover the rapper’s hit ‘Heartless’. The festival, which is known for always coming through with surprise performances, ends its two weekend run this Sunday with Drake closing the festivities with a headlining set.

Kanye gave the Coachella crowd a treat on Saturday night when he performed with The Weeknd.

West had been rumoured to be making a surprise appearance during Drake’s set, but it appears the Yezzus rapper just couldn’t wait to surprise the Coachella crowd. Joining Tesfaye as he delivered a cappella cover of the rapper’s hit, West then launched into his own four song set.
