Captain Smek is the leader of a group of aliens called Boov who are stranded in outer-space on their spaceship with no home planet to speak of. Determined to find themselves a permanent planetary home and desperate to evade their arch enemies, they travel across the universe in search of the perfect place. Unfortunately, every planet they land on seems to pose a threat - from monstrous, bloodthirsty predators to unbearably sweltering heat. One day, however, they discover the ideal dwelling for them; Earth. And so, the takeover of the human-inhabited world begins, with Smek under the impression that he is saving the humans. However, one young girl manages to escape their grasp and discovers one Boov who is exiled from his clan after accidentally informed their dreaded nemeses of their location. The pair thus become an unlikely duo, setting out to rescue their earthling and alien counterparts from the incoming menace.

'Home' is a hilarious animated adventure featuring an all-star cast and based on the 2007 Adam Rex's children's story 'The True Meaning of Smekday'. It has been directed by Tim Johnson ('Over the Hedge', 'Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas', 'Antz') alongside frequent writing partners Tom J. Astle and Matt Ember ('Get Smart', 'Epic', 'Failure to Launch'), and it is due for UK release on December 5th 2014.
