Halle Berry is a believer!

The 47 year-old actress, who is currently starring in CBS’s sci-fi ‘Extant’ as a pregnant astronaut, revealed on Monday (July 7th) that she doesn’t think humans are alone in the universe.

The admission came when Berry appeared on David Letterman’s ‘Late Show’ to promote the new space drama.

“I don't believe we are the only species in existence. My ego doesn't tell me that we're the only ones who survived,” she told the host. “It might take us 20 years to get to those other life forms, but I think they are out there.”

The highly anticipated series depicts a female astronaut, played by Berry, who has returned home after a year long voyage in outer space on her own.

She attempts to reconnect with her husband and son whilst adjusting to everyday life, but her experiences leads to events that change the course of history.

The Oscar-winning actress revealed to the audience that they will have to watch at least 12 episodes before finding out how her character became pregnant.

"It could be the pool man," she jokingly said about the 13-episode sci-fi series that debuts on Wednesday (July 9th) at 9 p.m.

‘Extant’ is being produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television.

Last October (2013), when Berry confirmed her role in the project, she said, "I'm always on the lookout for amazing roles, and when you see material that contains this strong of auspices, nuance and complexity, it compels me to run toward it no matter the medium.”
