Mehgan McCain Could Be Next In Line To Join 'The View'
'The View' is looking for a younger voice!
The ABC daytime talk show's hosting panel is going through a major makeover, and a few new faces are expected to arrive in time for season 18.
And one of those faces could 29 year-old Mehgan McCain.
According to E!News, the daughter of U.S. Senator John McCain is being targeted by producers as a potential replacement for one of the vacant co-hosting positions.
McCain is currently under contract as the host of 'Take Part Live' on Pivot, but she has made several appearances on 'The View' in recent years.
The Columbia University graduate would be a perfect fit on the straight-talking show as she has displayed her very liberal stance on a variety of social issues in the past, and is also vocal when it comes to criticising the conservative views of the Republican Party.
Fans are still waiting to see who ABC announces as the replacements for Sherri Shepard and Jenny McCarthy, as they won't be returning to the upcoming season, but the TV network isn't fuelling any speculations.
"Any specific names at this point are rumor and speculation," an ABC rep said. "There are no decisions and we are not ready to make any announcements."

If McCain gets the job then she will join the programs last remaining host Whoopi Goldberg, and most likely Rosie O'Donnell, who is reportedly returning to her former hosting role for season 18.
One other big name that has been rumoured to be joining the show is former Alaskan governor, Sarah Palin.

The 50 year-old hinted that she is interested in being part of the ABC talk show during a recent interview, saying, "It'd be so much fun to shake it up taking on issues that make audiences objectively consider all sides, and I'd do it with my own real-life groundedness, candor and commonsense that I'm known for."
