Kerry Katona Cried While Fiance Was Sectioned
Kerry Katona cried as she watched her fiance being handcuffed by police before being under the Mental Health Act on Wednesday evening (30.07.14).
George Kay was reportedly admitted to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after a concerned motorist called the police when she saw him running down the road near his and Kerry's home screaming that someone was going to kill him.
The Sun newspaper reports that George was shouting: ''Kerry, Kerry, they're going to f***ing kill me. They are hitting me with the hammer. Why are you letting them do this?
''Kerry, Kerry, open the gate, please, love...
''Call me a f***ing ambulance.''
A family friend said Kerry - who briefly watched proceedings from the doorway of her rented five-bedroom home in Oxfordshire was dressed in a robe and towel - was ''devastated and very upset''.
The insider added: ''She was crying, in bits. None of the kids were around.''
A passer-by told the newspaper: ''George asked me for help, but it was as if he was looking straight through me.''
He was also heard telling police officers: ''You're burning me. Stop, I'm on fire.''
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police told The Sun newspaper: ''Thames Valley Police can confirm that officers were called to a road in Chinnor shortly after 6pm following concerns for the welfare of a man.
''A 34-year-old man was detained at the scene and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he was detained under the Mental Health Act. He was later discharged.''
The Atomic Kitten singer - who has children Molly, 12, Lilly-Sue, 11, Heidi, seven, and Max, six, from previous relationships and recently gave birth to her first child, Dylan-Jorge, with George - declined to comment, but a neighbour, who asked not to be named, told MailOnline: ''It looked like he had been taking something like cocaine or ecstasy I think. He was behaving very strangely - actually it was quite frightening.''
George was later released and Thames Valley Police confirmed they did not carry out any substance abuse tests and he faces no charges.
