Sebastian was hired as the perfect butler and protector for the aristocratic heir of a toy manufacturing company, Kiyoharu. Though while he excels in both fighting and cooking, his position can only last so long as he is a demon waiting patiently upon the soul of his master... or mistress. There have been a string of horrific murders in the city, the victims of which are left mummified with a tarot card beside them. The incidents mirror the killing of Kiyoharu's own parents, and thus it becomes her life mission to avenge them. She is ordered to solve the dreadful crimes, while Sebastian helps to find her parents' killers in return for her human soul. Though which such vicious examples of humanity displayed around every corner, will Sebastian even want to become part of this race by the end of it?

'Black Butler' is a Japanese film based on the comic books of the same name written and illustrated by Yana Toboso. The screenplay has been adapted by Toboso, with direction by Kentarô Ohtani ('Nana') and Kei'ichi Sato ('Tiger & Bunny'). It stars Hiro Mizushima and Ayame Gôriki, and is scheduled for release in UK cinemas on October 17th 2014.
