The Walking Dead: Finally, Somebody Bites Into A Charred Leg
Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead featured one of the most gruesome scenes of the entire series so far. Twitter sparked into life after Gareth (Andrew J. West), leader of Terminus, forced Lawrence Gilliard Jr's Bob to watch as he took a bite out of his newly amputated, charred leg.
"We didn't want to hurt you before," Gareth tells Bob, who had woken up chained to a post. "We didn't want to pull you away from your group or scare you. These are not things that we wanted to do," he added.
"In order to do that.we have to hunt," he goes on, "Didn't start that way. Eating people. It evolved into that. We evolved. We had to. And now, we've devolved into hunters. I told you. I said it-can't go back, Bob. I just hope you understand that nothing happening to you now is personal. Yeah, you put us in this situation and it is almost a cosmic justice for it to be you."
"If it makes you feel any better," said Gareth, biting off a piece of Bob's leg, "you taste much better than we thought you would."

Penned by creator Robert Kirkman, the episode is now etched in the memory of pretty much every Walking Dead fans but many had expected it. It closely resembles a plot line that Kirkman wrote for his Walking Dead graphic novels.
In that episode, as recalled by the Daily Beast, a gang of cannibals called the Hunters stalked Rick and the group on their way back to Washington D.C, where Eugene was supposed to deliver secret information to save the world. The Hunters caught up with the gang, captured them and ate part of Dale's leg.
The Walking Dead season 5 continues on Sunday October 26, on AMC.
