Keke Palmer and Sherri Shepherd happily pose for photos with fans and sign autographs for those waiting outside the stage door of a Broadway theatre where they have been performing a new version of the popular fairytale 'Cinderella'. Keke plays the titular princess while Sherri is her evil stepmother, though both displayed a largely happier relationship off-stage.
The show marks the first time a black woman has portrayed the iconic princess in a move that is doing wonders for the public perception of inter-racial couples. Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad made a similar point with their production of 'Romeo and Juliet'.
