The Distillers Release First New Music In 15 Years

Brody Dalle's band dropped their first new music since 2003's 'Coral Fang'.

After teasing fans with a none-too-subtle social media campaign for most of this year, The Distillers have released their first new music in 15 years, revealing a new track titled ‘Man vs. Magnet’.

The Australian-American punk band’s lead singer Brody Dalle began dropping hints back in January this year that the group, which broke up in 2006 after their most recent album Coral Fang three years previously, would be up to something in 2018.

On Wednesday (September 12th), the band shared their first new songs in a decade and a half, with ‘Man vs. Magnet’ backed with another track, ‘Blood In Gutters’, which was originally a Brody Dalle solo track in 2014, presented as a classic A/B-side single.

Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has explained the response he received from Rancid fans after singer Tim Armstrong accused him of stealing his girlfriend.

Josh Homme, frontman of Queens Of The Stone Age, has spoken out against Tim Armstrong, singer from Rancid. This came after Armstrong publically attacking Homme for dating his ex-girlfriend, Brody Dalle. Homme reportedly received multiple death-threats from various Rancid fans in response to Armstrong accusing him of 'stealing' Dalle from him.

Homme remains with Dalle, and decided that the best response would be to stay silent in order to disprove the rumours. He explained: "I got all kinds of threats. They were saying, 'We're gonna kill you.' And I was saying, 'I'm six-foot-five and I have red hair and I'm not hiding. Go ahead.' I didn't steal anybody's anything. But not saying anything became the only thing that had any truth to it.
