Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter Will Not Face Prosecution Over Sexual Assault Claims
By Ed Biggs in Music / Festivals on 12 September 2018
Prosecutors for the Los Angeles County District Attorney have declined to go further with the case because it has exceeded the statute of limitations.
Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter has learned that he will not face criminal charges over an allegation of sexual assault in 2003, after the case was thrown out by prosecutors for being over the statute of limitations.
Melissa Schuman, 33, formerly of the girl band Dream, accused Carter earlier this year raping her back in 2003. In February 2018, she waived her right to anonymity by writing a blog detailing the alleged incident, having been inspired to do so by another woman who made a similar allegation against Carter at the end of 2017.
Schuman said she was 18, and a virgin, at the time of the alleged attack, which she claimed took place after she had recorded a duet with Carter.

Chrissy Teigen Gets Confused By Backstreet Boys Song
By Holly Mosley in Music / Festivals on 04 June 2018
The band is forced to explain the lyrics of 'I Want It That Way'.
Have you ever wondered about the concept of the Backstreet Boys' song 'I Want It That Way'? We can't say we've ever really thought about it either, but Chrissy Teigen certainly has. She has an important question regarding the 1999 hit, which essentially boils down to: Who wants what which way?
The more we listen to it, the less we get it. It shouldn't be such a difficult concept to grasp, but it clearly is. Chrissy explained that she thought it was some kind of petty argument between a couple about who gets to say they 'want it that way'. Which obviously doesn't make any sense. But then... this was the nineties.

By Victoria Pavlova in Movies / TV / Theatre on 15 February 2015
A 90s kid's dream Valentine's - the guys of N Sync and The Backstreet Boys, all in one show.
Guys. N Sync reunion. It happened. As with most classic pop culture moments, it happened during an episode of SNL. And the Backstreet Boys were there too. It wasn’t a coincidence either, as Valentine’s Day marked SNL’s 40th anniversary episode, so they had to make it a bit more special.
Who even needs a Valentine, when you've got the full line-up of N Sync together again.
The N Sync guys tweeted about their appearance earlier in the day, from their official account: "'Together again...Gee, it's good to be together again' #SNL40.”

NSYNC Reuniting - Temporarily - For Saturday Night Live's 40th Anniversary Show
By Elinor Cosgrave in Lifestyle / Showbiz on 15 February 2015
NSYNC will be reuniting on Sunday (15th February) for a special appearance on Saturday Night Live's 40th Anniversary show.
Nsync have announced they will be reuniting - but only for a one off appearance! The group, which was hugely successful in the 90s and early 00s, will be making a special guest appearance on Saturday Night Live's 40th Anniversary show. The show will be aired on Sunday (15th February).
The American boyband had their biggest career peak in 1999, but it wasn't long before they became another forgotten about boyband. They seemed to become an overnight hit in the UK and Europe, and soon they stormed their own nation. However, the success was blighted by lawsuits against their manager Lou Pearlman, who allegedly stole a large proportion of the band's earnings, not to mention problems with Jive Records, Nick Carter's desire to pursue a solo career, Kevin Richardson's departure and A.J. McLean's drug abuse confession.
